今年からベアマウンテンに仲間入りしたサンタ。 ７才で若く、まだ他の個体より小柄です。特徴的なのは首元にあるおおきな白斑（白いもよう）。 サンタは野生生まれでこぐまの頃に保護された個体です。短い期間ですが野生で生活した経験があるのでベアマウンテンの園内に自生している野草を食べてくれるのではないかと期待しています。 本日サブパドックに出したところ木や壁のニオイをかいでさかんに背こすり！元気いっぱいです。 試しに採ってきたフキノトウを与えてみたのですが、芽吹いてだいぶ成長していたものしかなかったので苦かったのでしょうか？少しかじって吐き出してしまいました。これから夏にかけて、はやく美味しい野草がはえてくるといいですね。 【飼育スタッフ：伊藤】
