Are there ATMs in the park or near Sahoro?

No.
There are no ATMs in Bear Mountain or the resort area.
The nearest ATMs are Shinkin Bank, Post Office, and 7-Eleven in Shintoku Town. (About 15 minutes by car)

Tell us how long the Bear Watching Bus will take

The Bear Watching Bus will depart from the bus station and arrive at Bear Point in about 20 minutes while watching brown bears in the park.
The bus stops at Bear Point for about 10 minutes, then departs from Bear Point and arrives at the bus station in about 5 minutes.
On the way back from Bear Point to the boarding area, the rate of encounters with brown bears is low.
We also recommend the promenade for customers of the Bear Watching Bus Course on the way back.

What are the days when the park is closed?

This season will be irregular holidays.
We have posted a business day calendar on the website, so please check from there.
In addition, please note that the park will be closed for winter from the end of normal business until the spring of the following year.
We are not open normally in winter, but we plan to offer a tour program to observe the winter life of brown bears. (January~February)

Is it possible to enter the park on a rainy day?

Yes.
Bear Mountain will be open even in rainy weather.
Umbrellas are lent out (free of charge) at the entrance and bear point, so please use it.
However, in stormy weather (heavy rain, strong wind, lightning strike, etc.), the safety of our customers is our top priority.
Please note that it may be temporarily closed or business may be temporarily suspended.

Is there a place to eat other than the hotel restaurant?

No.
There are no restaurants other than hotel restaurants in the resort area.
There is a restaurant in Shintoku Town after getting off the Kankatsu Pass.
You'll also get a great deal on packed lunches that include Bear Mountain admission tickets and hotel lunch.
Please use it by all means.

Can I bring food and drink into the park?

No.
Bear Mountain prohibits eating in the park in principle.
Please refrain from bringing in food.
Since it is an outdoor facility, it is possible to bring in drinks from the viewpoint of hydration.
Littering is prohibited in the park. Please be sure to dispose of it in the designated trash or take it home.

Is it possible to enter with pets?

No.
We are sorry, but please refrain from bringing pets into the venue.
It is possible to enter with an assistance dog for the disabled, but you may be asked to present a certificate, so please prepare it in advance.

Do you lend out wheelchairs and strollers?

Yes.
We lend wheelchairs and strollers.

Can I take photos and videos in the park?

Yes.
There are no particular restrictions on photography in the park, based on the premise that it will be enjoyed by individual customers, family and friends.
However, photography using drones is prohibited in principle, so please refrain from doing so.
In addition, please contact us in advance regarding photography for use on news reports, media, video posting sites, etc.

Do you offer pick-up and drop-off?

Yes.
For guests staying at Sahoro Resort Hotel only, we offer transfers between the hotel and Bear Mountain. Please let us know when you make your hotel reservation.
