今年は日照不足が影響して畑の作物の生育が遅れたり不作になっているそうですね。 山の実りはどうでしょうか。 ベアマウンテンの園内、あちこちに生えているミズナラ、ヤマブドウ、ミヤママタタビの実のなりを確認してみました。 遊歩道近くのミズナラは去年よりも少なめですがちゃんと実はつけていました。 実がふくらみ茶色に熟してきたなぁ〜、今年もリスが来て食べるのかな〜、なんて思っていたころ、気がつくとほとんどの実がなくなっていたのです。 地面に落ちてしまったのか、知らぬ間にリスが食べていったのか… それにしても今年は実がなくなるのが早すぎました。う〜ん。 ヤマブドウも実の沢山ある木と無い木で、差がありました。 ↑貴重な実り。５〜６ｓ間のヤマブドウ。 獣舎脇になっているミヤママタタビ。去年は不作でしたが今年はみごとななりでした！！ こちらは獣舎でサンタに与えてみました。 キウイフルーツのような甘みとさわやかな酸味★ サンタもおいしそうに一粒一粒、味わいながら食べていました。 発芽したミズナラのドングリを発見！ 無事大きく育って実をつけてほしいですね。 「最近の個人的･お気に入りショット」　秋の日差しにまどろむヒロタケ 【飼育：伊藤】

遊歩道の下にたたずむ１頭のクマを発見。 この細身の体つきは…　もしや？ 　 　あ！こっちむいた！ 　やっぱりイヌオでした！遊歩道の下でお昼寝をしていましたが、のっそりと起きてきました。ちょっと「眠そうな顔」？ 水浴びを終えたライオンマル。夕日が当たって「まぶしい顔」です。笑 こちらも冷たい沢水を浴びて「ごきげんな顔」のヤワラ。 気温が低くなり紅葉が目立ってきました。クマたちも食欲の秋です。 水浴びをしたり昼寝をしたり、餌を求めて活発に動き回ったり… クマたちにとっては一番過ごしやすい季節なのかも？！ 園内の樹木も葉を落とし始めているので夏場よりも遠くまで見渡せ、クマの姿も発見しやすくなってきます。 わたし個人的には、この時期が観察には一番適していると思っています。遊歩道を歩いている時に感じる秋独特のやわらかな日差しと心地よい風がとても好きです。 皆さんも是非、紅葉狩りとクマの観察をお楽しみ下さい（＾▽＾） 【飼育：伊藤】

シルバーウィークも終わりましたね。 朝晩はぐっと冷え込むようになってきました。皆様体調管理にはお気をつけくださいませ！！ 昨日はサケのプレゼント最終日でした。 最終日ですし、今までサケのイベントにいたことのないクマたちを選抜してベアポイントに誘導して行ってみることにしました。 まずは活きたサケをキャンタの前に！ しかし活きが良すぎたのかあっという間に逃げられてしまいました。 う〜ん、去年のキャンタはサケを腹の上に乗せて遊んでいたので、「今年こそ捕まえるか？！」と良い反応を期待していたのですが…残念！！ 次に与えたコウタ、ヒロキも興味は示したものの捕まえるまでには至らずでした。 ヒロキはサケのニオイをくんくん嗅いだ後に自分の頬をすりつけてサケのニオイをまとっていました。 豪快なシーンを期待されていたお客様には申し訳ありません… が！その後すぐにヒロキが残したサケを、隣にいたヤワラがもりもりと完食してくれました（＾＾） １４時３０分頃には魚捕りの名手･ジョイナーとヒロタケが池に現れ、さっそく気配を察したようで池の中に顔をつけてサケを探し始めました。 　 探す合間には２頭で立ち上がってレスリング遊び。 遊んでジョイナーの気をちらしておきながら、ヒロタケはちゃっかりジョイナーのサケを横取り…！ ジョイナーが得意の「追い込み戦法」で活きたサケを捕まえた時には、観察していたお客様から「よくやった！」「すごい！」と歓声を浴びていました。 ヒロタケも沈んでいたサケを探りあて、ガラスに押し付けムシャムシャ。 　 サケもクマにとっては冬ごもり前の貴重な栄養源です。おいしくいただけてよかったですね。 【飼育：伊藤】

今日はイベントで、クマ達に鮭をプレゼントしました。 ジョイナーは鮭をくわえて池のふちまで運びましたが、 ヒロタケに奪われてしまいました。 （写真：鮭を奪ったヒロタケと困った顔のジョイナー） その後、ジョイナーは池の中で他のクマが手放した鮭を見つけて、 池のふちへ運んでいました。 秋鮭プレゼントは9月20・21・22日も13時より園内ベアポイントにて行ないますので、 ぜひお越しください！ 【飼育：中筋】

明日から行われる「ヒグマに秋鮭プレゼント」に向けて池の清掃をしました！ まずは池の水を抜いて、池の中にいるニジマスを捕獲！ （掃除が終わるまで箱の中で避難） クマの抜け毛や落ち葉をとりのぞき、大量の泥をとりのぞき、ガラスをみがき、泥をとりのぞき！ 文章にすると簡単に終わった雰囲気ですが… 広い池なので終了したころには陽がとっぷりと暮れてしまいました（＠△＠；） 　 避難していたニジマスたちを再び放流し、今日運んできたばかりの鮭も２匹だけ先に放流しました。 　　「腰がイタイ；明日はクマたちにがんばってもらいたい！」 これで、明日クマが鮭を追いかけても底の泥が舞い上がって見失ってしまう（><）なんてことが少なくなるハズ…です！！ 明日のクマたちの反応はいかに！！ 是非、クマたちの頑張りを「生」で目撃してくださいね！ 【飼育：伊藤】
