現在のクマたちは獣舎とサブパドック（運動場）ですごしています。 獣舎でえさを食べて、寝て、サブパドックでひなたぼっこして、背こすりして・・・ みんなえさを食べた後はおなかいっぱい満足そうに眠ります。 　ミスミのすごい”ハラ”　満腹！ 　好きなものだけより分け食べて、あとはブッちらかし・・・ ジョイナーさん！ちゃんと残さず食べてほしいんだけどなぁ〜 さて、われわれの冬支度作業はちゃくちゃくと進んでおります。電柵をとりはずしたり、施設の水落とし、園内車両の越冬準備、獣舎の格子にとりつけるコンパネ加工、道路の整備、事務所のお引越し・・・毎年繰り返されることですが「こんなにあったんかいっ！」と毎年思ってしまいますね。 日に日に冬がかけあしで近づく気配を感じているのは私たちだけではないはず。 クマさんたちは自分の身体の冬支度、がんばってくださいね（＾ｕ＾）／ 【飼育係：伊藤】

今日もサンタの遊び道具に索輪を用意しました。 その前に投げてみた木の枝はクンとにおいをかいだだけでお気にめさなかった様子・・・ やっぱり視線は策輪の方にクギヅケです。 　押す！　独特の弾力が気になるみたいです 　何か見える・・・？ 　 　 とりあえずワッカに手を通したくなるのはクマも人間も一緒？ サンタの目が真剣です！ 　 　 　 ころがし、くわえて、池ぽちゃ！ 前回も池に入れて遊んでいました。好きなんですね（＾＾） しかしサンタ、ふっと顔をあげてフェンスの外を見ました。園内の道路を整備するために今日は重機を使っていたのですが、これはサンタにとって初めて見るモノです。 小走りで様子を見に行きましたが、急にこわくなったのか慌てて逃げ出しました。 近づいたら思ったより大きいな！と思ったのでしょうか。平気なクマは平気なのですが、サンタはちらちらと様子をうかがっていました。 今日はサンタにとって刺激がたくさんの1日でしたね。 【飼育係：伊藤】 おやつのカボチャでご機嫌♪　

ベアマウンテン＝クマ そりゃぁクマがいるのはあたりまえなのですが、実はヤギもいます。 いつもは獣舎近くの小屋ですごしていますが今年の秋はバス停近くまで出張したりもしました（＾＾） スイス原産のザーネン種で、身体が大きいです。（力もつよい！） 　 左：ユキちゃん　右：アツコちゃん アツコには角があります。仲が良いのか悪いのか時々、ゴチンと頭突き合いをしています。 出張したときには、お客様は名前を知らないはずなのに「アラ、ユキちゃん」と声をかけてくださいました。やっぱりヤギにユキという名前は定番なんですね！ ベアマウンテンのクマたちは全てオスですし、飼育係のあいだでは彼女たちはアイドル的存在です。 アツコの機嫌が悪い時には差し出した手にゴチンとやられることもありますが、そんなつれないところもまた・・・（*´Ｕ｀*） ヤギたちも冬の毛になり、冬をのりきる準備は万端でしょうか。 先日の雪もすっかりとけて今日は日差しが暖かかったですね。ヤギたちもひなたぼっこ、気持ちよさそうでした。 【飼育係：伊藤】

今日は出勤してきてびっくりしました！ やっぱり山は天候が全然違いますね・・・雪です！雪！ 　スキー場もまっしろけ〜 　獣舎への道もまっしろけ〜 樹氷ならぬ”樹雪”？！枝が雪の重みで垂れ下がりキレイなトンネルになっていました！ クマたちは今年初めてのまとまった雪にどんな反応をするのでしょうか。 さっそくサンタをサブパドックに出してみました。 　とりあえず背こすり。全部の木に念入りに・・・ 　小走りでかけまわっています！ほんとうに楽しそう〜（´▽｀）／ でんぐりがえし！ わざと足すべらせて楽しんだり、水に浮かべた雪玉を前足でいじったり、木にも登ろうとします。 索輪のゴムを頂いたので（スキー場のリフト整備の時にいらなくなったのです）与えてみたのですがガジガジとかじってみた後は前足に通して遊んでいました。 　 サンタは７歳、ベアマウンテンでは一番若くまだまだやんちゃ坊主ですものね（＾＾） 心底たのしそうなサンタを見ることができて私達もとっても嬉しくなりました。 ・・・が！この雪、すぐにやんでとけると思っていたのですが昼をすぎても日が暮れてもやみません。 リゾート敷地内の道路は除雪車が出動するくらい、深々と深々と・・・・・・・・・・・ 獣舎の屋根には１５ｃｍ以上つもっていました；自家用車で帰るのがこわいです。 野生のクマたちはそろそろこもる時期でしょうか？白くなった山を見てふと思ったのでした。 【飼育係：伊藤】

サホロから約15ｋｍしか離れていない新得町の町中では昨晩、雨が降りました。”雪に変わる”という天気予報でしたが、気温が下がらなかったのか雨のまま。そんなに冷えなかったのかな？と思いながら出勤すると、狩勝峠1合目あたりから一気に雪景色゜。°。°。°。°。 ヽ。 しかしこの時期は日中気温が上がるので、すぐに融けてしまいます。降っては融け、降っては融けを繰り返し、根雪になり雪が積もり出します。日中融けた雪は水になり、路面が濡れたまま夜冷えるとアイスバーンとなり事故が起こりやすくなります。車を運転される方、タイヤ交換はお済みですか？ サホロリゾートホテルは11/22までメンテナンスクローズをいたしますが、 今朝はかわいいお客様がいらっしゃいましたよー！

こんばんは、初めてブログを書き込みます黒川です。 ブログデビューは今日ですが、ベアマウンテンにはＯＰＥＮから飼育係として働いています。 私が持っているのはクマ達に与えるゴハン。 内容は今が旬なビート、トウモロコシ、クマ用ペレットなど。 これらを水でふやかして混ぜゴハン（クマ仕様）の完成です。 箱になにか書いていますね、なんと読むでしょう？ ヒント：ひ○ま 　なにげに重い！早く撮影して！ さらにニンジンも加えます。ニンジンだけで12キロあります。 クマ達はニンジンが大好き！ボリボリ食べます。 他にも季節によってカボチャ、リンゴ、スイカなども与えます。 喜んで食べてくれる姿は僕らにとって至福の時です。 私はミスミ大好き・・・。 普段はこんな感じで各部屋に置いておいて、クマ達の帰りを待っています。 　デコレーションしてみました！（こわい・・・；） 【飼育係：黒川】

本日は麻酔の日。 採血、体重測定、身体測定などなどなど・・・ クマが寝ている間にすべてを終えなくてはいけません。 クマのほうはというと、当然注射で麻酔を打たれるわけですからいい気分なワケありません（｀△´）≡３ あるクマはウォーっと唸り声をあげたり、床に落ちた吹矢に向って「痛くしたのはオマエかっ」と威嚇するクマも。しかし今日のキャンタは針が刺さっても怒らず騒がず声も出さず・・・ まるでなにか悟りを開いたように落ち着きはらって堂々とかまえていました。 そんな「男気」あふれるキャンタの姿に一同思わず「おお〜」と感心。 さて、クマが完全に眠ったところで作業開始です。クマの身体をさわって冬ごもりにむけてしっかり体格ができているか調べます。みっしり生えた冬毛・・・ふわふわです（*＾ｕ＾*） 　 身体に傷はないか？足の裏はけっこうやわらかい！ 　体重測定。シートにクマをのせて吊り上げます。お・・重い！！ 　採血。 雪がちらつく中での作業となりました。もはや空気が痛い！ 麻酔作業は普段できないことができるチャンスです。チクッとされるのはやっぱりイヤだと思うけれどクマたちも頑張ってくださいな！ 【飼育係：伊藤】

10/10の「もう降りますよ〜、雪」から2週間以上経った今日、やっと降りました。「10月中旬には降りますよ〜」なんて宣言しておきながら・・・うそつきでスミマセン。お詫びといってはなんですがサホロリゾートホテル前から青空と白い山が撮れたのでコチラでご勘弁を(*_ _)人 さて、クマ達は何をしているのかというと秋の健康診断を受けており、その中には体重測定も含まれています。 10月のイベント体重当てコンテストには788件もの応募がありました。正解者には来年の年間パスポートをプレゼントするとあり、みなさんじっくりと観察し予想されたことと思います。正解は12/1webにて発表いたしますので首を長くしてお待ちくださいませ。 飼育スタッフも閉園してから大忙し！外作業のためがっつりと防寒着を身にまとい、その姿はまるで冬ごもり前のクマのように大きなカラダに見えます。その大きなカラダで健康診断、クマの世話はもちろん、雪が積もる前までに急ピッチで片づけにいそしんでおります。

クマたちが追いかけてくれるかなと期待して池に放していたニジマスですが・・・ やはり池が深いためか上手なヒロタケ・ジョイナーの力をもってしても捕まえるのはごくまれでした。 そこで最終日にむけて「池の水位さげよう作戦」を決行しました。 池のドロを取り除き、バルブを開いてキレイな水が常に流れるようにします。 　→　 　こうなりました 最初に水の少ない池を見たクマの反応がとってもおもしろかった！水がないのを確かめるように前足でチョンチョン・・・いつもと違うな〜という様子でした。 浅くした効果はテキメンで、クマが池から離れず強く執着しています。 特に特徴的だったのは、 ・ヒロタケ→ちゃんと狙って獲る派（しかも慣れて要領がいい） 　　 　 　 ・ジョイナー→ひたすら岩の下をさぐる派（写真のデッカイお尻がジョイナーさん） 　　　 ・クマエモン→あてずっぽう、力まかせ（普段は堂々としているのに逃がして慌てていた） 　 　 今まで魚にあまり興味の無かったクマも、探す行動を見せてくれたのが大きな成果でした。 魚とりもこぐまの頃に母クマから教わることの1つですが、自らの経験から学習してどんどん上手になっていきます。他のクマの行動を観察し真似して覚えることもあるんですよ！ 普段はのんびり動くイメージが強いせいか、クマが俊敏な動きを見せると「おおっ」と驚かれる方が多かったですね。クマたちもお腹いっぱい食べる事ができ、冬ごもりの糧となったことでしょう。 今シーズンの営業は終了しましたがブログでは引き続きクマたちの近況をお知らせしていこうと思います。たくさんのご来場ほんとうにありがとうございました。 ひとくぎりついてほっとしている私たちです。あとはクマたちが眠れますように・・・（＾＾） 【飼育係：伊藤】

2008年度の営業も残すところあと1日となったベア・マウンテン。昨日の雨＆霧から一転、お天気に恵まれ遠くの山々もきれいに見渡すことができます。 さて、今シーズンもたくさんのお客様にご来場いただきましたので、ベア・マウンテンを代表してミスミからひとことお礼を述べさせていただきます。早口ではありますがおそらく【ありがとう】と申しているのかと思います!? 口を動かしてお話しているように見えるのはミスミならではの行動です。
