秋の恒例イベント 『ヒグマに秋鮭プレゼント』 十勝釧路管内さけ・ます増殖事業協会様のご協力により、 こんな立派な秋鮭をヒグマたちに与えることができます。 体長50cmほどでしょうか。 池に放流すると、反応したのはヒナタ。 必死に追いかけます。 1尾目は、秋鮭の勝ち。 池の深い方へと逃げ込み、スルスルとヒグマの猛撃を泳ぎ抜けます。 ヒナタはつかまえられず、イライラ(ーー゛) 2尾目は、ヒナタの勝ち。 見てください！このドヤ顔！！ 「俺、すごいだろ」的な視線と口の開き方。 それにしても男性スタッフが両手でしっかり持つほど大きな鮭を、 ガブリとひと口でくわえられる力、可動域。 やはりすごい能力の持ち主ですね。 どのように獲ったかは、また明日。 「ヒグマに秋鮭プレゼント」は、明日・あさってもやりますよー。

9月に突入し、お別れの日がついにやってきてしまいました。 ショコラとマロンがサホロで見られるのは明日（9/3）まで。 淋しいですね。。。(T_T) しかし、この狭い展示スペースではストレスが溜まってしまいます。 ショコラとマロンにとっても良い事なのです。 のぼりべつクマ牧場に戻ってからも、サホロ魂（？）を忘れずに気に、美しく、育ってほしいです。 ベアポイントには輸送用の檻が準備されていました。小さくても、クマはクマなのです。

ついに、この時がやってきてしまいました。 『コグマ、のぼりべつに帰る。』 ベア・マウンテンですくすくと成長した双子の赤ちゃんクマ。 お客様と記念撮影をしたり、名前を決めてもらったり、体重当てクイズをしたり。 産まれて3カ月でやってきた双子の赤ちゃんはとても小さく、歩くのもままならず、 GWだというのに雪が降る中お披露目となり、寒さに負けないよう毛布をかけたり、 暖房をあてたり、起きているより寝ている時間の方が多く、 小さくて心配で仕方なかったショコラとマロン。 初夏を迎える6月頃より、おてんば娘に大変身！ 跳んだり、跳ねたり、逆立ちしたり、よじ登ったり、ぶらさがったり、 男性スタッフより力があるのでは？ というほど、成長しました。 8/20現在ではマロンは28Kg！！ コグマ展示場もそろそろ狭くなってきたので、のぼりべつクマ牧場に戻る日が決定いたしました。 あと数日、ベア・マウンテンで元気に過ごしていますので、遊びにいらしてくださいね。 コグマ展示は9月3日まで。

双子のサンタ・ヒナタがガラスの前でレスリングで力比べをしたり、 大口開けてどっちが開くか大会をしていました。 レスリングでガラスにドーンと体当たりすると、お客様から歓声がっ。 そして小さなお子様は「こわい・・・」と泣いていました。 お子様も泣き出す大迫力のヒグマが見られるのは、ベア・マウンテンだけですよ。きっと。

雨続きのサホロ。 梅雨のない北海道ではありますが、 『蝦夷梅雨』が長引いているそうです。 そんな天気でも楽しめるのがベア・マウンテン！ クマたちは、雨が降ろうが、雪が降ろうが、 普段と同じように暮らしています。 ベアウォッチングバスに乗れば、 それほど雨に濡れずクマたちに会いに行けますよ♪ レンタル傘も無料☆ 雨上がりは虹の発生率が高いので、タイミングが合えば虹が見られるかもしれません。
