It's mid-December, and Bear Mountain is completely in deep snow.
Perhaps because there was little snow last year, it feels like there is a lot of snow this year.
In fact, it is said that there is a relationship between snow and winter, and depending on the depth of the accumulated snow, brown bears dig and look for food, and it is said that they quietly enter the hole and wait for spring to reduce energy consumption rather than moving around and looking for it. And so on.
The roof of the animal house is covered with snow every morning due to the snow every day, but this snow removal work is actually very important, and if the snow is not removed properly, the snow on the roof melts due to the body temperature of the bears in the animal house, dripping into the room where the bears are sleeping, and moistening the straw where the bears are sleeping during winter, and depriving the bears of their metabolic body temperature.
Therefore, when the snow accumulates every day, the keepers thoroughly remove the snow before working on the animal house, but this year the pace was faster, and the snow that had been dropped from the roof has already piled up and reached the roof of the animal house (><)
I think it was around February that I got this far last year, so I'm looking forward to seeing how far this will go this year (^. ^)!
