At first it was a log

This tree in front of Bear Point, like the tree in the back, was originally a log. But were there insects? They skillfully use their sharp claws and mouths to eat insects, resulting in this shape. This is also intensively removed. The bears deftly pick and chew on these trees, which are surprisingly heavier than they look, while moving them with one hand (foreleg). And their obsession with food is amazing! Why not choose brown bears as a theme for your summer vacation research? How about studying and presenting about the ecology of brown bears on a "walk tour" guided by breeding staff?

Original commemorative stamp

How about a commemorative stamp to remember your trip? This is an original stamp handmade by the breeding staff. I carve an eraser into a stamp. This one stamp represents a year of brown bears. Unfortunately, the staff member who created it has left the company, but he left behind a stamp that conveys his love for brown bears. Be sure to get this commemorative stamp as proof of your visit to Bear Mountain. It is located at the ticket office. Eraser stamp classes are also open at the hotel's resort center! This program is recommended for free research during summer vacation, so why not give it a try?

Kouji and Hirotake Part 2

Koji and Hirotake discover Joyner eating snacks in a puddle. Immediately after they looked at each other, they split into two groups and attacked each other. Check out this video. In bear society, those with power are strong, and weak bears leave. There is a clear hierarchical relationship. Even so, I was thinking of a pincer attack between the two.

The arrival of early summer

Sahoro is starting to feel the arrival of early summer, with temperatures exceeding 25 degrees Celsius during the day and the chorus of Ezohar cicadas starting to sing. Brown bears are also often seen cooling off by the water. Ezo daylilies and lupines are preparing to bloom at the park golf course in front of the Sahoro Resort Hotel. And the Ezoharu cicadas have a lot of shed shells left behind. Today, I found an adult beetle, so I decided to observe it. I misremembered and thought that cicadas make noise by rubbing their wings, but I was wrong. It's screaming with great power.

Relaxing all day long, Canta and Hiroki

Canta and Hiroki are taking a nice nap on a hot day. Canta and Hiroki are always together, even on hot days. Canter is on the left. What you can see is your butt. Hiroki is on the right. I'm leaning towards Canter. Canta: ``It's hot today.'' Hiroki: ``Yes.'' Canta: ``It's hot. Let's go take a bath.'' Hiroki: ``Yeah.'' Canta: ``Well, let's stop.'' Hiroki: ``Yeah.'' ``Hey.'' ``...'' Canta and Hiroki are good friends, and you can almost hear them talking in bear language (although there's no such thing).

Quiz ☆ Who's behind this!? Announcement of correct answers

Now, I would like to announce the correct answer. The correct answer was [Canter]. It's been a long time since we had nice weather on Sunday, and the bears are taking a bath to cool off. As you can see in the photo, I often see them standing on all four legs with a narrow distance between their front and hind legs, but I wonder if their balance isn't bad? I always wonder. Bear Mountain Aquarium! ?

Children who have a low perspective will be more interested in the rainbow trout than the bear, shouting "It's a fish!" Some children are constantly chasing rainbow trout as if they were in an aquarium. This rainbow trout is one of the pioneers who didn't catch a bear at the Golden Week event "Challenge to Catch Rainbow Trout!" ? We will spend time here while sharing snacks from the brown bears. Is brown bear food nutritious? In the fall, the rainbow trout also grow to large sizes. The bears to watch out for are Hirotake and Joyner. Hirotake in particular is an expert at catching fish.He dives deep into the water, opens his eyes wide, and chases down a rainbow trout to the edge of the pond...smack! ! ! ! Rainbow trout also swim desperately to avoid being caught. If the timing isn't right, you won't be able to see the fish being caught, but we recommend catching them in the morning (and early in the morning).

It's not Kyoto, it's Sahoro.

Yesterday evening, I had some business to go to Karikachi Kogen Park, and when I stopped by to take a photo of the plum garden, I encountered 4 sika deer! I thought it was running away to the back, but it stopped and seemed to be paying attention to me. I captured the situation on video. Plum blossoms are dancing and it feels like Kyoto. (I've never seen the combination of plum and deer in Kyoto, but this is just an image.) It's blurry in my hand, but I hope you enjoy the combination of plum and deer.

Karikatsu Kogen Ecotrocco will be introduced in TV Asahi "Paradise of Life"!

“Karikachi Kogen Eco Trolley” is located 5 minutes by car from Bear Mountain. It will be featured on TV Asahi's ``Paradise of Life'' as a dream eco-truck. This is not about Bear Mountain, but it is an eco-trolley that is popular in the same Sahoro area, so I would like to inform you about it. The best way to find out more is to watch the program, so please take a look. Well, that's why today is the secret of Eco Trolley? A little introduction. This is the part you can't see because it's usually covered. This is a point switching device. You can change it with a switch.Left) There is a gap on the track in the back.Right) There is a gap on the track in the front.By switching this, the eco-trolley can move in the direction (track) you want to go. This device is also made by hand and has two other points. The photo shows a switch type, but there are also load type and some type (I forget). I'm sorry for not being able to convey the secret you taught me well. When it first opened three years ago, it was a single-track course where you would go and come back, but it has been renewed every year and has been upgraded with curves, traffic lights, and railroad crossings. In addition, the interior of the sleeper train behind the steam locomotive is turned into a museum, and is a must-see not only for railway fans but also for people with nostalgic memories of the past, as well as children. All of the staff members are very kind and passionate, so if you start talking about railways, you're sure to have a great time! That's right. Anyway, if you see a bear, take the eco-trolley. After enjoying the eco-trolley, we also saw a bear. If you go to Sahoro, please enjoy both ☆ ■Paradise of Life May 28th (Sat) 18:00-18:30 TV Asahi "Satsuki no 4 Hokkaido Shintoku Town Departure Progress! Sakura in full bloom

The cherry blossoms at Karikachi Kogen Park are at their peak. This is a row of cherry blossom trees along the Eco Trolley. Flowering is late this year. I had predicted that, but the weather was nice last week and the temperature was high, so I caught up with it by about the same day last year. As you can see, you can see the row of cherry blossom trees along the old national highway. The forecast was for rain until noon today, but the weather is sunny and perfect for cherry blossom viewing. The flowers in the plum garden are also in full bloom. And we found about 1,600 test plum trees. It's fun to try and find out where they are.

Bird name: Turtle dove (also known as wood pigeon, it is probably more commonly called by this name) Calls (this can vary): ``De-de-poppo'' or ``ho-ho-ho-ho''.

The view is the best!

In early spring, the trees have not yet lost their leaves, so you can see the distant scenery clearly. This is the view towards Tokachi about 30m after entering the promenade course. You can probably see East Nupukausinupuri, West Nupukausinupuri, and even Mt. Upepesanke. In front of the majestic scenery, the two were taking a nice nap. When I got closer with the 12x zoom, each one of them raised their heads and appeared in the photo. These two are here. Please watch carefully so you don't miss anything.

Just about 10 days ago. It's today. Warm. That's nice, spring. The photo shows a willow tree inside Bear Mountain. When it comes to ``Ezonobakko willow,'' the yellow color is Obana, and the green color (slightly larger than Obana) is Mebana. Which one, Mr. Kuma? It feels good. My eyes are closing. Oh my God. Oh, sorry. At the place of rest. I woke you up. Sorry to bother you. Excuse me.
