The arrival of spring on the side of the road to the animal house

Stormy Sahoro again today. Moreover, it was snowing, and we returned to the winter scenery. Still, little by little, spring seems to be approaching. On the side of the road to the barn, a butterbur was showing its face. Come on, come quickly.

Outside ♪ for the first time in a long time

The bears began to wake up from their winter sleep in early March. Since yesterday, I have been out for the first time in a long time to release them in the sub-paddock. Today's weather is sunny, with a temperature of 1°C (as of 8 o'clock) and sunshine pouring down. All the staff are designed for cold regions, so it feels warm at plus temperature. Today's release is 5 of these horses! First of all, Bear Mountain's handsome "Kumaemon". Recently, Kumamon is in a slump due to its popularity (?). ), caught a woman's heart at the first tejepero of the year ×2☆ Next is a seal! It is not. "Yawara" A healing bear that rubs its body on the snow and rumbles, or sits in the sun without a backrest. This kind of old man is sometimes on the side of the road (laughs) "Canta" is the largest body in Bear Mountain. It looks like your body is bathed in the sunlight. Even so, it seems to be dazzling... "Koji" with big brother skin. This is also sunbathing. Koji and his twin "Kouta". Peel off the wood skin, chew it, and make a mess. I'm taking a break to see if I'm satisfied. Director Sasaki says, "The weather is good today, so the bears are calm." As he said, the time is so relaxed that it is hard to believe that he is on the cold snow. With less than a month to go until the opening, the staff is preparing at a rapid pace.

The seismic intensity of Shin-Tomachi was less than 5, and it shook.

Shintoku Town has a seismic intensity of less than 5. Sahoro, which is a bedrock, does not shake much even if there is an earthquake, but last night's earthquake did. After the earthquake, the director went to inspect the animal barn where he had been sleeping for the winter, and the bears were sleeping soundly as usual. By the way, the other day, Hokkaido's popular TV program "Dosanko Wide" came to interview us. "What!? I'm playing Bear Mountain???" I'm sure there are many people who thought that. At this time of year, the bears are in the middle of winter, so you can't see them, but in the summer, there are snowshoe tours in the park that you can never enter. There was a TV interview about it. It is scheduled to be broadcast on Thursday, February 7th, so if you live in Hokkaido, please take a look! When I went to Bear Point for the first time in a while, ↓ ↓ ↓ It looks like this. Partly because of the snowdrift, but it has piled up to nearly 2 meters. Even with such a large amount of snow, snowshoes that can be walked without being buried are excellent. Sahoro Resort is crowded with ski and snowboard customers, but we also secretly offer snowshoe tours in the park, so please come and visit us.

Winter is in full swing! Both the bear and the breeding staff are in their 7th year!

The seventh winter retreat of the season has begun. Bears, which have experienced it many times, will go into hibernation mode relatively quickly if you set a fasting period and throw in straw. An individual named "Mitt", who newly joined the group around last summer, is a cause for concern for the breeding staff. It is a curious bear that is only 4 years old, shows interest in various things, and has not yet become an adult, so if it senses the presence of a person, it will wake up in a small way, so when observing, I am careful not to make noise as much as possible and talk in a quiet voice. The photo on the left is Shingo, a veteran of winter. He is the oldest of Bear Mountain and has a hateful facial expression (laughs). Breeding Staff

Oh Cheerful Sarah & Moko

There is only one week left until the opening of the ski resort. Sara and Moko enjoy a walk at the dog park today. In the morning, I could see the sun, and Sarah was excited! I'm rubbing my body against the snow and I'm having a good time. Sarah is a big boy, but she's very shy. In particular, Sarah is not very good at the sound of gashan gashan footsteps in ski boots, and hides in the hut. Moko is good at spoiling. The ski resort is scheduled to open on Saturday, December 1 ☆ The bears are still awake.

Bear Mountain after closing

Today is the last day of October. It's been about 10 days since Bear Mountain closed, and the bears are in the middle of their fall health checkups! I also weigh myself, so the answers to the quiz are coming out one after another. The announcement of the weight guessing quiz will be on December 1st, so please wait for a while. If it is closed, the brown bears will only be able to meet the breeding staff. Therefore, I would like to pull out the image and introduce it. This time, Canta. With a temperature of 10 degrees Celsius, it was a cold day for us, but a pleasant climate for the bears. Canta is bubbling with his stomach in a puddle of streams. It looks like you're practicing your breath in the pool. There is also such a cute side.

The leaves of the birch have fallen, but the beautiful red autumn leaves have become noticeable. The autumn leaves in the park are also in full bloom. Unfortunately, tomorrow (10/21) is the last day. Koji, the big brother, is also picturesque with autumn leaves in the background. And when I was concentrating on taking a picture of Koji... Santa-kun fades in. Close... It rained today, and I suddenly got wet, but I saw a rainbow after the rain. We look forward to seeing you on the last day of tomorrow!!

Hirotake exclusive! Autumn Salmon Present

Yesterday, Hirotake mushrooms were full of rehearsals in rainbow trout. We have been camping in the pond since the morning, waiting for the release of autumn salmon. I'm eating right away. You look very relaxed, Hirotake-kun. You can see the soles of your feet. I'm sure they've already eaten about 10 of them since last week's three-day holiday. It's getting kind of boring, and I'm about to start wintering soon. When it gets better, it looks cute. I tried sticking out my tongue as well. […]

Autumn Salmon Present

Today, Hirotake and Moko, who are masters of catching fish, will challenge themselves to catch salmon in autumn! I thought that the two of them were concentrating on salmon hunting, but Moko sensed something and went out of the pond. It was Santa who came. Moko Hirotake, who doesn't like Santa, ran away into the forest at a brisk pace. Santa, who was able to have the pond to himself, was able to catch and eat salmon leisurely. Santa is fond of heads, and he eats them while dexterously sticking out his hard bones. Watch them use the power of their forehead and jaw to bite powerfully.
