scramble for toys

For the curious Hirotake, we gave him a pipe as a plaything. He is playing with the pipe as expected. Kumaemon came there. ``Okay, let's play with it too.'' When I put it in his mouth, he said, ``It's my toy!'' and they started fighting for it.

!!!

Performance leader Hirotake catches fish in the pond in front of Bear Point and plays with the pipe. Thanks to the Olympics, I'm sure I'm not the only one who heard customers' ``Hirotake'' as ``Kiyotake''! ? It was a shame for the soccer boys yesterday. Back to Bear Mountain. (Sorry for digressing) Akaushiabu is on the bears' backs again this year! ! ! ! A horsefly tries its best to stick its head into the strong backs of bears with thick subcutaneous fat. I shake my back and brush it away, but the horseflies soon gather again on my back. The reason why there are so many bears rubbing their backs these days may be because they are being eaten by horseflies, in addition to the markings.

The strongest gatekeeper in history! ? Outside edition

The invincible gatekeeper (!?), this time from the promenade course. Take a look at the outside of the cave. Kouji (right) is very excited, opening his mouth and drooling as he threatens others.

The strongest gatekeeper in history! Inner part

The cave next to Bear Point is cool, so it's a popular spot for brown bears in the summer. While Kouji and Hirotake are chilling out together, a visitor appears. Since it is a narrow cave, it is intimidating to the bear who is not an intruder! It's more than just a guard dog, it's a reliable guard bear.

Mini “Bear Mountain”! !

At the resort center inside the Sahoro Resort Hotel, you can make ``nature crafts'' using the blessings of the forest, such as pine cones and tree branches. At this time of year, it's summer vacation for free research! Everyone was creating a variety of works, so much so that the faces of the staff who were watching them were all smiles. I am especially interested in the imagination and creativity of young children. Today, families from the Kansai region enjoyed various activities such as canoeing and park golf, and at the end of the day they created some wonderful nature crafts. Truly a mini “Bear Mountain”! ! Are the two bears in the forest Canter? Is it Shingo? There is also a bear watching bus running. As a Sahoro Resort staff member, I couldn't be happier to be able to create a work like this. Even when you go home, every time you see this, it will remind you of your summer vacation at Sahoro. Please come again!

I started Dobon Watermelon

Sahoro is over 30 degrees Celsius today. But there is a breeze so it's refreshing, as you would expect from a highland resort. The summer events ``Dobbone Watermelon'' and ``Gift of Ice to Brown Bears'' have started today. The watermelons and melons we give to the bears at Dokboon Watermelon are frozen. When you see how crunchy watermelons and melons can be chewed over by a bear, you must take precautions to avoid encountering bears when climbing mountains, fishing, camping, etc.! It makes me think. Anyway, it's a luxurious summer time to be able to receive watermelons and melons ☆

Over 30℃

Sahoro's temperature exceeded 30℃ today. It was hot, wasn't it? I was expecting it to be hot, so I gave Sara and Moco ice cubes before the bears did. But! Two people who are not interested at all. . . Maybe I should have put some snacks in the ice? From this Saturday, ``Ice Present for Brown Bear'' and ``Dobbon Watermelon'' will begin. Please come and meet the bears who don't give in to the summer heat!

Board the last bus leaving at 15:20 and head into the park. As the setting sun shines through, we find three of them ☆ As we approach... Santa & Hinata (the two on the back) vs. Kouji (in the back) are in a standoff. I quickly turned on the camera, but Koji was like a big brother to me even at Bear Mountain, so the fight ended without a big fight. Santa and Hinata are twins, so if their opponent had been a different bear instead of Kouji, they might have teamed up and gotten into a fight! ? Still, it's impressive!
